Release Campaign Readiness Checklist

For labels and artist management companies checking whether their release tracking will hold up as the roster grows. Tick an item when it's true today, not when it's planned.

  • Date

Don't write unreleased material here. No track titles, release dates or artist-identifying details on this sheet.

1Pitch and release tracking

  • Every release becomes a tracked record, not just a line in someone's calendar.A release that only lives in one person's head is easy to lose track of.

  • Artist, format and release date are tagged at intake, not added later by hand.

  • There's a single owner for each release at any given stage.

2Press and asset library

  • Artwork and press materials are kept in a shared library, not resent in a group chat.

  • File versions are tracked automatically, so everyone sends the latest one.

  • Access to a release's materials is limited to the people working on it.

3Deliverables and deadlines

  • Every release-week deliverable has an owner and a due date tracked in the system.

  • Release status is visible in one place, not pieced together from messages.

  • A missed deliverable is visible before release day, not after.

4Streaming and performance reporting

  • Platform exports are pulled into one view, not read separately from five dashboards.

  • Reporting is organised by artist and by release, not one undifferentiated pile of numbers.

  • An artist or label meeting report can be produced without a manual data pull.

5Access governance

  • There's a written retention and access policy for unreleased material.

  • Access is granted by release group, not by individual sharing links.

  • A leaving team member's access to unreleased material is revoked on their last day.
